I get out of the shower,
Sobbing shaking, but alive.
Stagger to my room,
And pass out on the floor.
Do you even see them anymore?
Little marks on my wrist.
I call them my Chicken SCratches,
Because that's what they are.
I'm a chicken for not telling you,
I'm a chicken for doing this.
Bloody spots on my towel you ask,
Lies roll easily off my tongue,
You nod and take my word for truth.
Chicken chicken chicken scratches!
Covered by a studded cuff,
Or a pretty bracelet,
You'll never see what I've done.
Razors, pencils, teeth, and nails,
They're all the same to me,
Each one cuts all the same.
And I keep making...
